Baruch Schwartz reports: "On the 71th Anniversary (2012) of the
Radzilow massacre, a group of Israeli Radzilowers held the annual
commemoration of the Radzilow massacre on Tuesday July 3 alongside
the monument to Radzilow at the Holon cemetery. We met with the
monument contractor and discussed with him the repairs/corrections
that need to be made: a date should be added and there are some
spots where the marble is cracked and needs to be fixed. I hope to
take care of this over the coming months. Avraham Dotan and I made
renewed efforts over the last few months to bring this event to the
attention of more Radzilowers. The attendance this year was better
than in the past few, and there were a number of others who
responded to our invitations and said they would have liked to come
but were unable to make it for various reasons." |

massacre (July 7, 1941; Hebrew Calendar 12 Tammuz) was marked at the
Radzilow monument in the Holon cemetery. The only attendees were my
cousin Avraham (Porycki) Dotan of Tel Aviv, Frieda (nee Kowalski)
Aharoni, Esther (nee Szwarcberg) Caplin and I, Baruch Schwartz of
Efrat. We did manage to get together a minyan to say kaddish." |
